Great Britain’s Mo Farah took two titles by Day 8 at the World Championships in Moscow that have landed him in the history books. Last week Saturday at the start of the World Championships, Farrah won gold in the 10,000-meter. The following Saturday he added another gold in the 5,000-meter.

Farah won the same two events at the 2012 London Olympics making him only the second man in history to complete a “double-double” at the World Championships and the Olympics.

At the end of the 5-000 meter race, Farah broke from the pack with about 600 meters to go and leaving challengers Isaiah Koech of Kenya and Hagos Gebrhiwet of Ethiopia in the home straightaway with an official time of 13 minutes, 26.98 seconds.

Gebrhiwet took the silver in 13:27.26, and Keoch took the bronze coming in at the same time as Gebrhiwet.
